Justification
In this digital era, MIE is ensuring that instructional materials and MIE services are available and accessible in a wide range of formats including print, online and offline. Capacity building for printing services through procurement of a printing press will drastically reduce the cost of production of textbooks and externalisation of forex and jobs as we migrate away from perennial printing of textbooks overseas. On the contrary, the reform will create jobs for Malawians as well as use local currency for most of the printing materials and accessories, thereby help in building forex reserves for the country.
