Enhancing national addressing system

The lack of a comprehensive system of street naming and property numbering in Malawi has a negative impact on the provision of services and prevents businesses from operating efficiently. This has led service providers including utility companies, courier operators and banks to establish a complex system of identification of an individual involving third party references. This reform therefore will seek to develop an efficient service delivery system reaching recipients at the right time. It will help people to be connected to the formal economy, allowing them to easily access commercial and social products and services.
